Next Major Project

When I finished the final edits for my latest book, around April, I threw myself into the task of creating online Youtube videos for every chapter of that book (for a total of 41 videos).  The video lectures consumed all my time in the summer of 2026.  So when I finally finished them I thought I would take a prolonged hiatus from taking on anything too burdensome.  I needed a break.

Well, that lasted about a month.  During the month of August I just started to do some light reading, re-kindly my curiosity and passion for a major project I initially began exploring back in 2009 (seems like a lifetime ago now!).  See, for example, a series of past blog posts on play- part 1, part 2, part 3, part 4, part 5, part 6, part 7, part 8.  I am now truly re-emersed into this project, having gone through more of the literature on the history of utopian thought.  This project will now consume most of my research for at least the next year or two, and no doubt well beyond that!

Cheers,

Colin
